From Cochon Butcher |
I received my purchased copy of Chef Donald Link's new cookbook Real Cajun: Rustic Home Cooking from Donald Link’s Louisiana in the mail last Thursday and absolutely love it. I wrote a review at my main site Nola Cuisine (Real Cajun review.)
As most readers of my site know, I am a big fan of Donald Link and his restaurant Cochon, and most recently Cochon Butcher.
I am absolutely thrilled with his new cookbook, and am already wearing it out. In my review I show some pics of the recipes that I have tried thus far.
Be sure and check out my ever growing Index of Creole & Cajun Recipes and my Bibliography of Creole & Cajun Cookbooks!
Looks like a fantastic cookbook... One that I will definitely have to check out!

Wow!!relay your cookbook beautiful. The colors look scrumptious. My mouth is watering looking at your pictures. What a wonderful meal. thank you for shearing your post.
ReplyDeleteI actually heard of Link almost by accident. His book was at a local Borders so I decided to take a look at it. There is SO MUCH good stuff in there. Reminds me a bit of Emeril's "Real & Rustic" book.
ReplyDeleteThis cookbook was an award winner in 2010, yet, Borders no longer carries it "in store". Go figure.
ReplyDeleteI made the rosemary, thyme, garlic smothered pork roast and it is incredible. It's my dinner this evening.
Love this cookbook. It's very authenic. One of the best cookbooks ever.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the article, very helpful information.
