This is my blog dedicated to New Orleans & Louisiana cooking! I'll give links to great Creole & Cajun recipes and sites, as well as some of my own recipes. I love talkin' New Orleans, food and otherwise! Incidentally, I'm from Detroit. Go Figure. Lets just say I figured out "what it means, to miss New Orleans" and this site helps ease the pain.

Oyster Dressing Recipe at Nola Cuisine
This post takes you through making classic New Orleans Oyster Dressing, rich, savory and full of texture. The recipe layers plump oysters and their briny juices into a base of cubed, slightly stale bread mixed with the “trinity” (onion, celery, bell pepper) plus butter and seasonings. The dressing gets baked until the top is golden and crisp while the inside stays moist and flavorful. It’s the kind of dish that makes holiday tables feel like home, something hearty and comforting with oysters giving just the right touch of coastal Louisiana.
